Diana Ross,The Queen of Motown, is coming to Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula on Sept. 11, for what is promised to be "a night to remember."
The Motown legend will take the stage at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center in Reading on October 1, and tickets for her 7:30 concert will go on sale Friday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m, and they are $85, $95 and $120.
Diana Ross helped shape the Motown sound as the lead singer of The Supremes in the 1960s. She went solo in 1970.She has released 67 albums and sold more than 100 million records over the course of her career.In 1976, Billboard magazine named Ross the "Female Entertainer of the Century."In 1993, the Guinness Book of World Records declared her the most successful female music artist in history with 18 American number-one singles.She's also acted on the big screen, TV, Broadway.
Diana Ross is best known for playing Dorothy in "The Wiz." Just kidding--she was the leader of The Supremes, which had mega-hits with "Baby Love" and "Stop! In the Name of Love" and "You Can't Hurry Love," among more than a dozen others.
She was an Oscar nominee for her role as Billie Holiday in "Lady Sings the Blues" and she won a Tony Award for her one-woman show, "An Evening with Diana Ross."
Also, the Guinness Book of World Records touts her as the most successful female music artist in history and she gave the world a "Love Hangover."
